Free shows scheduled for each Thursday through Aug. 19 The 2010 season of the Live@theLake Summer Concert Series at Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU is off to a great start – with record turnouts for each of the first two concerts. The Series kicked off June 3 with a show by the acoustic trio Exit Strategy, which drew a crowd of over 100. That show was followed by a knockout performance by Anchor Rose, an acoustic group made up of Erick Palacios and Ryan Burch, which attracted over 150 people to the shady shores of Sikes Lake. Week 3 of the series features the soul/funk band Black Magic, headed up by MSU’s own Alan Black. Black Magic is the area’s only old-school horn band, playing favorites from Stevie Wonder, Chicago, Tower of Power, James Brown, Commodores and more. The Museum thanks its sponsors, Falls Distributing, The Spot and Texas Roadhouse, for providing refreshment. Guests are also welcome to bring their own refreshments, coolers and picnic baskets. The Series is free, family-friendly and open to the public.
